Chakra Moon Meditation
For this meditation you’ll need to be in a position where the Moon is visible to you. This can be outside or in front of a window. Make sure that you are warm and comfortable and throw a blanket over yourself if you feel cold. Be sure to turn off your phone and any other electronic devices so that your surroundings are quiet and peaceful. Sit quietly in a comfortable position, whether this be sitting on a chair or on a yoga mat. Any position is fine so long as you are comfortable.
Breathe deeply and gently into your abdomen and slowly tense then relax each part of your body, working from your feet up to your head. Keep your mind as clear as possible at this point. Any worries or thoughts that come to mind can be put in a bubble that will float away from you so that you can continue to meditate in peace. If you are more experienced at getting yourself into a relaxed state you won’t need to spend too long on this step otherwise aim to do this for about five minutes or until you feel completely relaxed.
Imagine the Moon coming closer and closer to you and shrinking in size as it comes closer. Put out your hand and hold it once it comes close enough for you to do so. It is like a crystal which is now about the size of a tennis ball and which is sitting comfortably in your hand. You can see every detail and touch its rough surface with your finger. Its light is that much more brilliant since the Moon has shrunk in size to be with you. It is magical and its energy is very nurturing and strong. You can feel its energy slowly creeping up your wrist and arm and tingling as it does so.
Visualise the energy from each of your chakras moving up your body, down your arm and going into the Moon which is sitting comfortably in your hand. You can see red from your root chakra, orange from your sacral chakra, yellow from your solar plexus chakra, green from your heart chakra, blue from your throat chakra, indigo from your third eye chakra and purple from your crown chakra, all travelling slowly up your body and into the Moon in your hand.
Feel the stirring in the Moon as your chakra energies are totally revitalised, renewed and refreshed inside the Moon. Watch your energies floating around inside the Moon and becoming more active as they become highly charged.
Once you are ready and feel that your chakra energies have been charged enough call them back into your body. Watch as they leave the Moon in your hand and travel back to their associated positions. You can feel each one connect back into your body starting from your root charka, then your sacral chakra, then your solar plexus, then your heart, your throat, your third eye and finally your crown. Your chakras now feel and look like they are spinning much better in your body.
Once all your chakra energies are back in place you can thank the Moon and release her back into the night sky. Watch as she floats back slowly, further and further away, to her original position in the sky. You feel refreshed, rejuvenated, physically strong and peaceful and you can feel each chakra working just as it should.
Take in a few more deep breaths and open your eyes. Take some time to look up at the Moon and thank her one last time. Thank your spirit guides as well for helping you to cleanse and charge your chakras back to their optimum health.
