Magic ages apply to the majority of people and are just a part of who we are as spiritual beings. Now this system of magic ages isn’t perfect. It generally follows a seven year cycle, except for in the case of two year olds.
We go through life changes every seven years. Every seven years we modify our perception of life and adjust our lives to fall in line with what we have learnt over the last seven years. We define who we are and what we want from life. This can be the cause of marriage break downs and the ending of friendships. This is why if you have been friends with someone for longer than seven years you’re more than likely to have a life-long friendship since your relationship has survived this change in each other. In numerology seven is the number of spirituality, thought, analysis, thinking and seeking truth which in hidden behind lies.
Magic ages are caused by a combination of planetary movements and our receptiveness to the spirit world. Certain planetary returns are very important in our astrological birth chart, as are half-returns, and account for a lot of the change that we go through at the time of these magic ages. When a planet returns to its original position in our chart they have a powerful effect on us and signify a new cycle in our life. The most powerful returns are those of Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus.
These outer planets return to their original position in our chart at these times:
Jupiter: 12 years
Saturn: 30 years
Uranus: 84 years
Spiritual receptiveness is another matter altogether but it seems to coincide with the planetary returns in our birth charts. At birth we are completely open and receptive to the spirit world since we have not long been long out of spirit form. As we get older our receptiveness to the spirit world diminishes as we are influenced by our environment and beliefs of the society in which we are growing up in. For most people the veil between the spirit world and physical world becomes thicker as they get older until they can’t see through it any longer. This happens because our crown chakra, positioned at the top of our head, closes off. Our crown chakra allows us to be open to the spirit world and receive messages from it. Our crown chakra is never at the same optimum health as it is when we are born.
So with those two things in mind let’s look briefly at the magic ages.
Two Years Old
At two years old we experience a major change. This is where the term ‘the terrible twos’ comes from because, to honest, it is a disastrous time for everyone. Two year olds have a difficult time as they adjust to becoming aware of themselves and their feelings. Their crown chakras go through a period of expansion and restriction at this time as their soul decides whether they are still part of the spirit world or the physical world. As communication from the spirit world starts to shut off two year olds are faced with interacting with the world in a whole new manner. It can be a frightening time for anyone when things don't work the way they're meant to work.
Seven Years Old
When children are 7 years old something extraordinary happens within them…their connection to the spirit world begins to completely shut down. By this time most children and their souls decide that they are completely separate from the spirit world. Their crown chakra stays restricted and the veil starts to thicken for them between both worlds. This can be traumatic and can lead to a variety of changes in them at seven years old. They become completely different beings and go through a period of being particularly difficult to deal with. Their intuitive and empathetic nature starts to shut down and they at last become aware of themselves as individuals, not an extension of their parents. They find that they can do things on their own and use their own power to get the things they want.
At seven years old most of us lose our sixth sense. Some people retain it but in most people it won’t be reactivated again until possibly puberty or from a traumatic life event such as an NDE (Near Death Experience). Being told as a child that the spirit world can’t be seen is powerful and called in its finest form social conditioning. To help a child retain their natural gift it is important to listen to their stories even if you think they are imaginary because usually they aren’t imagining any of it. Seven year olds also experience the left-overs of a half-return Jupiter in their birth chart.
Twelve-Fourteen Years Old
From the age of twelve to fourteen years old children will start to hit puberty and when this happens, as we all know, things can go a bit haywire inside them. At around 12 years old Jupiter returns to its original place in our birth chart. This is a time when most children turn into teenagers, some develop quicker than others but most see a change in their bodies and minds at this age.
When Jupiter returns in the birth chart it heralds a time of change and growth. Jupiter is the planet of growth and expansion and we see it work its full magic at this time. The second return of Jupiter occurs when we are 24 years old and are really into our adult years. At the age of twelve to fourteen we also see a huge change in temperament in people. This is a time which determines whether someone will discard all their social conditioning, rebel and reassess whether or not they will open themselves up to spirit. Because of the social conditioning this can make it all the more confusing for teenagers.
Thirty Years Old
At thirty years of age we experience the return of Saturn in our birth chart. Saturn rules tradition, structure, conformity and social values. It is an uptight and regimented planet which leaves no space for fun or wayward behaviour.
Most people will reevaluate their lives and take note of what they have or haven't achieved at this point. People who marry before this age and retain a stable, happy marriage after this point can be pleased with this achievement. Although once the half return of Uranus comes about at the age of 42 many marriages will end as Uranus is the planet which tears down any obsolete ideas.
Being aware of these ages during your lifetime will lead to a better understanding of your feelings and relationships with others. Sometimes these planets and our seven year cycle can have an overwhelmingly powerful effect on our emotions and bodies. If you do experience hard times during these magic ages try to take a step back and realize that you are being pulled and manipulated by nature. The magic ages are a part of what shapes us into who we are. Be patient with yourself as you go through these changes.
