Manifestation can sometimes seem like an elusive thing or an ‘it’ word that people use to invoke feelings of positivity. It can take a while to truly understand the meaning of manifestation but hopefully, this is where this article can help. You discover your manifestation potential.
Manifestation. Like attracts like. The Secret. Universal attraction. Positive affirmations. These are all terms that people use when talking about manifestation (including myself). And even though they’re all nice terms that make us feel good, putting manifestation into action is much harder than it sounds. The good news is that the concept of manifestation can be grasped with time and patience.
Firstly, let’s start with the most basic aspect of this: what is manifestation? Manifestation is about summoning certain things into your life that you want. It is an action that fulfils what you are thinking and is the result of that thinking. Sometimes we can think that we want something specific and then the opposite will happen. This usually occurs when we are focusing more on the opposite of what we want, or the disappointment, rather than what we actually want.
Secondly, manifestation isn’t always precise because we aren’t precise creatures. Human nature is flawed in all sorts of beautiful ways which makes us dynamic, intelligent and unique. When actively practising manifestation, we need to be aware that what we manifest won’t always be exactly what we want. But our manifestations will usually come pretty close to, or be better than, your original desire. (After a time you can fine-tune this to get a pretty close result though).
Now to get into the nitty-gritty of it all….
I’ve always believed that we have to have experienced something before we can completely understand it. This is especially true for manifestation. For example, it’s impossible to completely understand the grief of someone who has lost a person close to them, unless you have experienced a similar loss before. Likewise, you can’t truly appreciate the opinion of a doctor unless you have seen what they have seen in their work. Thousands of events and situations by-pass us daily that we have never experienced before. Then there are also thousands of other experiences that we have gone through and understand. Manifestation is just one of these experiences that we need proof of first before we can truly understand it. And that is why the constant practice of manifestation is important.
Manifestation isn’t just positive thinking. That’s a whole other ball game. Manifestation requires practice, tenacity and a little practicality. Trying to manifest a car dealer dropping off a Lamborghini to your front door tomorrow morning and telling you that it’s all yours isn’t practical…or realistic for that matter. AND the universe will only give us what we deeply desire when practising manifestation.
A deep desire requires years of thought and emotion. This is how people reap the rewards of their hard work over the years- constant thought surrounding promotions and a pay packet that matches it, along with genuinely putting in the effort at work, reinforces to the universe that that person wants it enough.
Manifestation also requires focus. You need to be consistently aware of your thoughts. It is human nature to think more of something negative that has happened to us rather than something positive. For manifestation to work, you need to catch yourself out when you are thinking about something negative or the opposite of your manifestation and consciously change it into your positive manifestation. For example, if you want more money but thoughts bills, not having enough, or how others have more than you creep in all the time then the universe will manifest less money rather than more. If this is true for you then try replacing your negative money thoughts with positives such as ‘I’ll have all the money I need when the time is right.’.
Doubt and fear can also stop manifestation from working. If you’ve held high hopes for something to happen in the past, and then that thing hasn’t manifested, then our trust in the universe pulling through for us can take a hit. This is another area in which you need to change your thought patterns. Take a risk and put your trust in the universe that it will deliver.
My last word on manifestation is on the actions required to make what you want happen. Nothing will be achieved if you sit back and wait for it. If you are putting actions in place to get something then manifestation will naturally follow. Align this with positive thinking and you’ve got a winning combo.
One of the best experiences and ‘proof’ that I’ve had with manifestation was when I donated money to a charity even though it was a bad month financially for me. Funds were low but I continued to tell myself that ‘Money will come when it’s ready and this money will come back to me’. And guess what? It most certainly did come back to me three-fold! This was me manifesting money by telling the universe that I had faith in it and that I had enough to give away because I trusted that that money would come back.
So to manifest what you want in life remember these key points:
I wish you all the best in your manifestation journey. If you can dream it then you can most definitely live it!
Love and light,
