Ooh the 28th of September is going to be a goodie! We'll have the pleasure of seeing the Full Super Blood Moon: a rare occurrence that marks the final lunar eclipse in a series of four of them over the last two years. Is it something to get your knickers in a twist about?...I don't think so. Lets look at what the Full Super Blood Moon means for you.
The Full Super Blood Moon, due on Monday the 28th of September, has conjured up all sorts of doomsday predictions; just like the 21st of December 2012 did. People love doomsday predictions from some reason, alas, maybe to feed their religious beliefs, their anticipation of the return of Christ or God, or to end the misery that they perceive life to be.
Once upon a time I got a bit frazzled with doomsday predictions but after hearing a few of them, and waking up the next day unharmed, I realised that it was nothing to get stressed out about. Most of them are focused around rare natural occurrences and coincidences or ancient belief systems that have been rewritten to suit our modern times. The Full Super Blood Moon obviously fits into the former category. Simply put, it's not the devil that it's made out to be.
This lunar eclipse will bless us on the 28th of September. It is the final of four lunar eclipses that have occurred over the last two years which have been called a 'tetrad'. It will be bright, it will appear to be extremely close to us and it will have a definite red tint to it. If we break down the meaning of each word that makes up the title of this moon it becomes easier to understand:
Full: A full moon which occurs every month (sometimes twice a month: these are called Blue Moons)
Super: When a full moon is at its closest elliptical orbit point to Earth. This causes it to look 14% larger and 30% brighter than usual.
Blood: The term used for a lunar eclipse as the moon appears to be red when it is eclipsed
This Full Super Blood Moon is meant to mark to beginning of the end according to Christian and Jewish belief systems. I don't abide by those religions though, so lets look at what it means for those of us that are on a completely different spiritual path...
The Full Super Blood Moon will be the Harvest Moon for the Northern hemisphere and the First Moon of Spring for the Southern hemisphere. Wiccan's get your tools out as it will be an almighty powerful time to cast spells and set intentions. If you are going to cast any spells be extra vigilant with your intentions and wording and please don't be foolish enough to harm anyone else or fiddle with their free will. Your spell will be powerful and so will the consequences if you aren't careful.
The Full Super Blood Moon will be in Aries which makes for a very interesting time. Aries is a fire sign which is quick, positive and masculine. It also has ties to the spiritual world as it has just passed through Pisces which is deep, mysterious and extremely spiritual.
Crime rates rise on any regular Full Moon night but the Full Super Blood Moon of September will increase this rate even further...especially since it is in Aries. As I've mentioned in previous posts, a Blood Moon can create the illusion of conviction in one's actions and emotions, and a lack of understanding of the consequences. Aries is so quick in it's actions that the need to move quickly and carry out ones actions quickly means that there'll be no time to stop and think about the penalties accrued from them. Be aware that this Moon will be pushing you to make impulsive decisions and it's power is heightened with it being a Super Blood Moon, so plan to have a quiet night in if you can.
For those who are aligned with positive energy and love make the most of the evening by meditating, relaxing and watching the beautiful sight. It's an especially good time to tune into and work on your own gifts and abilities as you'll be able to delve deeper into your subconscious mind and the universe in a safe manner. Aries is a positive sign so you'll be well protected if you're intentions are pure.
For those who aren't aligned with positive energy you'll feel a surge of overly emotional behaviour. Be sure to rid yourself of any negative emotions before Monday. These could be emotions such as jealousy, regret, revenge and anger. There'll be a tendency for people to succumb to anxiety and depression if these negative emotions aren't dealt with soon, especially for those of you who have water moon signs (although Aries' fire will dampen this a little more than usual).
I guess you can say that planning for this Full Super Blood Moon is in order. It's power will be intense and strong like none of us have ever seen so preparing to not have the unpredictable come out will work well. This Moon will be bringing about a huge shift in energy so any intentions (whether they are bad or good) will be magnified. The 28th of September is the perfect time to set some clear goals and change that in your life that isn't fulfilling, as we are all ready to receive a shift in our energies. (Have you noticed how everyone has been a bit 'blah'/ depressed/ anxious/ emotionally drained/ had heaps of shit happen to them since the last Blood Moon in August? Well, this Full Super Blood Moon marks the end of that).
Again as I've mentioned earlier, plan for the Full Super Blood Moon evening. It won't be the time for analytical or logical thought or a time for reflection so this work will need to be done in the coming days. Set your intentions now and work on them on the night. Don't set them on the night as you won't be thinking rationally (your head will be far to high up in your subconscious mind).
I'd also suggest not going out partying, drinking alcohol or taking drugs on the 28th of September...and I don't just recommend this to water moon sign people but to everyone. The effects of any of these will double with the Super Blood Moon power behind it. You'll get drunk/ high quicker, go crazy on the stuff and make a fool of yourself (or worse still, get yourself in trouble). Don't bother having in-depth relationship conversations with your partner either. The only talk on the 28th should be about the universe, unconditional love and positivity. Be careful as negative topics may be masked with positive ones in order to get the conversation started: don't walk into the trap!.
Charge your crystals and spiritual tools on this night as the effects will last for months...I can't stress this enough! Any spiritual tools will double, triple or maybe even quadrupule in their power if you do so under the gleam of the Full Super Blood Moon. A few crystals to have on standby for the evening that will help include:
Sodalite, Moldavite, Danburite & Selenite: to highten your intuition, psychic powers and contact with the universe
Smoky Quartz: to dampen impulsive behaviour
Rose Quartz or any other pink stone: to steady your emotions
Black or Brown Opals and Black Obsidian: to protect yourself from other's emotions on the night
I'll be sitting pretty viewing The Full Super Blood Moon on the 28th of September. The eclipse will peak at exactly 3:51 in the afternoon for those of us in New Zealand but the effects will still be visible into the evening.
On a final note, and for pure educational purposes, this Full Super Blood Moon is so rare that it has only occurred five times in the last 105 years: 1910, 1928, 1946, 1964 and 1982. I wasn't even born when the last one occurred. It won't happen again for another 18 years too. How's that for rare! So please make sure that you get outside on the night of the 28th and bask in the glory of this rare and beautiful Full Super Blood Moon. Hopefully it doesn't get clouded over as this is going to be a night to remember!
Love, light and blessings to you all xxx
